I was born and raised in a small town called Campbell River, located
on the West coast of Canada on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.

I grew up in an entrepreneurial family. My Parents were owner operators
of their own Tugboat Company. Although they were very busy with the business my mother being the very musical lady she is felt that enrolling my older sister and I into music would be a very valuable tool that would carry us through life.

I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to study piano through the Royal Conservatory beginning at age 6.

Music and anything that I could possibly create was a large part of me growing up.

My music gave me strength, taught me discipline and gave me confidence within myself and my abilities. From Mozart to Chopin to Beethoven, yes I played it all....and loved every minute of it. I will never forget at every Music Festival where I was adjudicated my mother was so supportive and would give me a banana to curb the nerves and she would say "You can do it honey, you're a winner" every time giving me that extra boost of confidence as they would call my name to the stage....

My first few competitions, I remember I would walk down the isle passing the adjudicators and audience feeling the pressure and not a sound in the building, you could hear a pin drop....my eyes would be focused on the spot light that lit the grand piano awaiting my fingers on the stage....as the years progressed I became less nervous, you could probably find me running down the isle ways in my teens at these competitions so excited to perform in front of large volume audiences... I took home numerous gold place awards, several silvers, some bronzes every year.....at age 17 I completed my piano studies with the Conservatory, but it wasn't over yet.......

There was an upcoming Talent Search at that time. My interests in composing came about. I was possibly inspired by some hardships I was experiencing at the time as my parents ended their 27 year marriage and my mother unfortunately was diagnosed with a terminal illness. It was also a time where I would be deciding what direction my life would go as I entered adulthood...I composed a 10 page piece on the piano titled "My Destiny" and I entered the Talent Search. I took home first place, I was so excited that day.....

Its funny because it was then that I realized that truly that if I didn't have my music and my art my mother was right it was a tool and it did become useful and still to this day as I grow, it is what keeps me so positive in life and helps me to overcome every obstacle..I guess its my outlet. I always seem to write my best pieces whether its on the piano or the guitar or lyrics and poetry or my art work when life's challenges enter....

A year later after the first Talent Search I entered another one. There was also a Writers Guild Competition for original pieces transpiring around the same time. I took home 2 more first place awards and headed to Vancouver,
British Columbia for the finals.

After returning back home and seeing the buzz of Vancouver and the feeling I got when in the city, I felt that this was where I wanted to spread my wings to.....the summer of 2000 I did just that.

I remember piling up my car to the roof with every thing I had, I had a management opportunity in the fashion industry that I had worked my way into, so a form of security for my arrival to what they call "the big smoke!"

I spent 5 years in Vancouver and loved every minute of it! I felt so empowered and inspired living in the City!!!

I managed to create an incredible network for myself in the Film/Music and Arts, meeting celebrities such as Carol Burnett, Jerry from Seinfeld, The Osbourne's, Jessica Alba, Kirk McLean, Samuel L.Jackson, Vin Diesel just to name a few.

After doing some traveling I decided to see and live in another space and allow the next chapter of my life to unfold!

I moved back to Vancouver Island to the Capital of British Columbia, Victoria!! I currently reside in one of the most beautiful places in this world, I am surrounded by Ocean, Lakes. Rivers and Mountains.....a true place of extreme beauty and an inspirational setting to allow the creative juices to flow......

After much experience in life, love, success in Victoria it is this site that I hope you all enjoy as I am back to what I am most passionate about, and focusing on "My Destiny" in the field of arts!!!!

Here is a collection of Modern Acrylics with some charcoal combined Canvases that I have created, as titled within my site you will notice "designed from my heart" a place in the center of me that I am now building on and sharing with the world!
